FIRST CIRCULAR - QCD MASTER CLASS 2024

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the QCD summer school ‘QCD Master Class 2024’ (QCD Master Class 2024 (23 June 2024 - 5 July 2024): Overview · Indico) that will take place from June 23 to July 6 in Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, a small village in Brittany (west of France) close to the city of Saint-Malo and the world famous Mont Saint-Michel. The QCD Master Class is aimed in priority at PhD students and postdocs in theoretical high energy physics. This is the 6th edition of the school, and the expected number of participants is 35. The program of the QCD Master Class 2024 consists in five lectures of 10 hours each, with lessons given from Monday to Friday.
Lecturers and topics are:
- Francois Gelis: Aspects of the theory of heavy ion collisions
- Johannes Henn: QCD scattering amplitudes
- Yuri Kovchegov: QCD at small-x and saturation
- Andrew Larkoski: Jet physics and machine learning
- Malin Sjodahl: Pictorial and spinor-helicity techniques for scattering amplitudes
Applications are now open, all interested candidates should apply via the pre-registration form at: QCD Master Class 2024 (23 June 2024 - 5 July 2024): Application · Indico
The deadline for application is March 15, 2024. The candidates are expected to apply for the complete duration of the school, with preferably arrival on Jun 23 (afternoon) and departure on July 6 (morning). Successful applicants will be notified shortly after the deadline for application in order to process with the payment of the fee to confirm final registration. The registration fee is fixed to 850 euros and includes the full board accommodation from June 23 (evening) to July 6 (morning) as well as a round-trip bus ticket from Saint-Jacut to Mont Saint-Michel.
